Bible Passage: Luke 9:23-26, Luke 9:57-62
In this series we have discussed the two possible eternal destinies which await every person in history – heaven & hell. We have toured the glorious truths revealed about heaven in Scripture which is promised to believers. We have also considered the many horrors of hell that an unbeliever will experience according to Jesus. Last week we saw why we need to think Biblically about heaven & hell as we contemplated the universal problem of mankind – death. Hebrews 9:27 says that is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment. Because life does not end with death, & since there is a divine judgment promised to all after this life, we now come to the point of decision. Today, we will conclude our series by discussing the decision of your life. This single decision is the biggest you will ever make because it will forever determine where you spend eternity. And this one decision hinges solely on what we do with the Lord Jesus Christ.
