Tonight, we want to conclude our first message in this Christmas series which has dealt with the conflict of Christmas. As we stated this morning, the story of Christmas didn’t begin in a manger, but rather a garden. In the Garden of Eden man fell prey to Satan & a resulting conflict between Eve’s offspring & Satan’s was birthed. This presented a real question—Would GOD abandon His creation to its own ruin & deserved destruction? The answer is “NO”! Instead of washing His hands clean of rebellious humanity, GOD mercifully entered the conflict by promising to send a Redeemer through the seed of Eve to deliver mankind. Then He pictured the future substitutionary sacrifice of Christ before banishing Adam & Eve from the Garden.
