Serve The King

In answer to those who criticized Him for spending time with a sinner, Jesus said, “For the Son of man is come to seek & to save that which was lost.” In other words, the conversion of Zacchaeus was a fulfillment of the very purpose of Christ’s coming into the world. Well, Jesus would spend some time with Zacchaeus that day in his home & then continue on His way to Jerusalem that He might be crucified on Passover. Once again, as He started that 17-mile climb from Jericho to Jerusalem, the crowds headed to the holy city for the Passover observance would swarm Him. As the Savior neared Jerusalem, many of His followers thought the kingdom of GOD would appear immediately & Christ would be coronated & Israel liberated.
