Rising Darkness - Part 1 - The Invasion of Islam (Conclusion)
Many people think of Islam as something happening far away, confined to the Middle East. But it has crossed continents and oceans, and its stated goal has never changed. In this final message on the invasion of Islam, we ask how far it has reached, whether Christians should be concerned, and how we ought to respond.
Key Verse: "Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name's sake." - Matthew 24:9 (KJV)
Continuing in Matthew 24, Pastor Marc Williamson explains the caliphate, a single government holding religious, political, military, legal, economic, and social power, and compares it with the world system of Revelation 13. He traces the reach of Islam from Muhammad's conquest of Arabia, through the campaigns across North Africa and into Europe, to the Crusades as a defensive response, and on to America, from the factories of Dearborn to our schools and public life today. He closes with four responses for believers: rejoice in the preaching of the cross, refuse to be passive in your Christianity, realize that persecution will come, and remember the promises of Christ.
Islam offers the sword, but Christianity offers saving grace. The darkness may grow, but Christ has already won, and in the end He will prove it.
