In Jeremiah’s day, the people were heading for GOD’s judgment & all the while thinking they were going to enjoy peace & prosperity because they were being deluded by the lies, by the deceptive words of the false prophets. Sounds a lot like our day, doesn’t it? Despite the immanence of divine judgment, GOD continued to sound the warning of coming danger through his prophet Jeremiah.
