Peace In The Darkest Hours

November 1, 2026 · Pastor Marc Williamson · 38:13

The world is growing darker, and many hearts are troubled, even the hearts of children. On the night before the cross, the disciples had just learned that one of them would betray the Lord, that Peter would deny Him, and that Jesus was leaving. Into that dark setting, Jesus spoke of peace.

Key Verse: "Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid." - John 14:27 (KJV)

In John 14:27-31, Pastor Marc Williamson shows that Jesus did not promise an easier road. He promised something greater. Pastor Marc walks through the supplying, the source, the securing, the supremacy, the soothing, the strengthening, the success, and the sovereignty of the peace of Christ. This peace cannot be worked up, and it does not rest on elections, the economy, or good health. It is a gift to receive by faith, like the one house with a generator shining in a neighborhood gone dark after Hurricane Helene, and like the calm that came over a dying man in a hospice room as John 14 was read to him.

As the storms gather, take your eyes off the circumstances and put them on Jesus. His peace is greater than the mightiest storm and the darkest hour, and it will hold you until we are in His presence.
