In our last message, we saw that the day of GOD’s grace for the nation of Judah was coming to an end. GOD had been more than patient, He had extended His offer of mercy time & again, but the people refused to repent of sin so that they might be saved. They rejected the calls to return wholeheartedly to GOD. Therefore, GOD told Jeremiah to sound the alarm for judgment was on the way. In chapter 5, GOD is going to reveal why the imminent judgment was coming.
