Bible Passage: John 4:1-30
It’s fitting that this woman encounters Jesus at a well, at the place people came to assuage their thirst. Church, this Samaritan woman pictures the longing within all of humanity; she illustrates our universal thirst for something more fulfilling than what we find in this life. Listen to those around you & you’ll hear the common refrain: “Is this all there is?” Well, GOD sent His Son to this world to quench our spiritual thirst, & on this day Jesus sat waiting in the hot sun, tired from His journey, to offer this woman Living Water. Jesus initiated a simple conversation as soon as the Samaritan woman arrived. Jesus’ evangelism was masterful, & here we see something very important that we should incorporate into our personal witnessing encounters.
