Since this is only the second Sunday of the new year, while many are still thinking about the mistakes they made in 2019 or the things they want to do different or achieve in the coming year, I want to give you some truths from our text this morning that we all should keep in mind. These truths offer comfort for the potential challenges we could face, they provide hope in the face of failures we’ve made or might make, & they also sound a warning to heed in the event we ever become defiant to the Lord in our living.
