From Ruin to Restoration - Part 7 - Peter

August 30, 2026 · Pastor Marc Williamson · 52:28

Like the Twin Towers that once seemed unbreakable, Peter stood tall among the twelve. He was a natural leader, quick to speak and quick to act, and when Jesus called him into full-time service after a miraculous catch of fish, he left everything to follow. Yet Peter trusted his own strength. He insisted he would never stumble, even after Jesus warned him by name that Satan desired to sift him as wheat. That same night Peter followed at a distance, sat down among the enemies of Christ by a fire of coals, and denied the Lord three times, finally swearing an oath before God that he did not know Him. One look from Jesus broke his heart, and he went out into the darkness weeping. But the story did not end there. After His resurrection, Jesus met Peter on the shore of Galilee with another miraculous catch and another fire of coals, lovingly confronting the place of his failure. Three times He asked Peter if he loved Him, and three times, in front of the others, He commissioned him to feed His sheep. The Lord who forgave Peter also gave him a future in His service.
