A Sanctuary In The Time Of Storm

November 4, 2026 · Pastor Marc Williamson · 43:18

What do you do when standing for the Lord leaves you standing alone? For over 40 years Jeremiah preached an unpopular message of judgment to a nation that would not repent. His own hometown and family plotted against him, and God told him to stop praying for that generation. He was called the weeping prophet, yet he never quit, because he had somewhere to run.

Key Verse: "A glorious high throne from the beginning is the place of our sanctuary." - Jeremiah 17:12 (KJV)

In this Wednesday night message, Pastor Marc Williamson preaches from Jeremiah 17:12-18. The sanctuary God's people have always had is the presence of God Himself, from the tabernacle in the wilderness to eternity, where the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are the temple. In that sanctuary we find the splendor of His glorious throne, the sovereignty of His high throne, and a serenity that keeps the believer green and fruitful like a tree planted by the waters, even in the year of drought. We also see the shame of forsaking the fountain of living waters, the salvation Jeremiah praised God for before it came, and the sure hope of refuge and vindication in the day of evil.

As our nation slides further from God, don't look only at the darkness around you. Through the blood of Jesus Christ the way into God's presence is open, so come boldly unto the throne of grace and find grace to help in time of need.
