How Not To Pray

Prayer is one of the greatest privileges of a believer (if not the greatest), & yet, it is without question the greatest area of neglect in most Christian’s lives. As we have already discovered, Jesus not only commanded His disciples to pray, He also taught them how to pray. I think one of the big reasons behind both the inconsistency & ineffectiveness of many believers’ prayer lives is the fact that so many Christians do not know how to pray. As a result, many Christians grow weary in praying when they don’t see anything happening, when they don’t see answers, & rather than question whether they’re praying the wrong way, they immediately conclude that praying is pointless. Well, prayer works, or the Bible would not instruct us to pray. There’s no doubt about it.
